TikTok Made Me Buy Volufiline… But Here’s What Actually Happened
If you’ve spent any time scrolling skincare TikTok lately, you’ve probably seen Volufiline everywhere.
“Filler in a bottle.”
“Naturally fuller lips.”
“Skip the injections.”
The promises were big…and, like so many of us, I fell for it.
Actually, I didn’t just buy one—I bought two different brands because I wanted to see for myself if there was really anything to all the hype.

These are the two I’ve personally purchased and
💙 Cosmetic Boosters Volufiline 100%
🤍 RE:CIPE Volufiline 100% Ampoule
After using both, I can honestly say I liked them both and would purchase either one again.
So…What Is Volufiline?
Volufiline is a cosmetic ingredient developed by the French skincare company Sederma. It contains a patented plant-derived ingredient that’s designed to help improve the appearance of skin volume by supporting the look of fullness over time.
It’s important to understand that Volufiline is not injectable filler. It doesn’t physically add volume beneath the skin the way dermal fillers do.
Instead, it’s intended to improve the appearance of fullness with consistent topical use. The ingredient manufacturer has published research suggesting improvements in the appearance of volume, but independent research is more limited, and results can vary from person to person.
How I Use It
Most people on TikTok only talk about using it on their lips.
I don’t.
I apply it to:
• My lips
• My temples
• Around my nasolabial folds
• My cheeks
Basically anywhere that has lost a little fullness over the years.
Did It Live Up to the Hype?
Yes…
and no.
If you’re expecting filler-level results, you’re probably going to be disappointed.
It’s not going to replace cosmetic injections.
But…
Do I think my lips look a little fuller?
Yes.
Do my cheeks seem softer?
Yes.
Does my face have a slightly plumper appearance overall?
Also yes.
The changes aren’t dramatic.
They’re subtle.
And honestly…I’m okay with that.
Does It Last?
This is the part that I think gets exaggerated on social media.
I’m honestly not sure whether the effect lasts once I wash my face or stop using it consistently.
Some of what I’m seeing could be due to increased hydration and the way the ingredient temporarily improves the appearance of the skin.
Current evidence doesn’t show that topical Volufiline permanently replaces lost facial volume, so if you stop using it, any visible improvement may gradually fade.
For me, that’s perfectly fine because it’s become part of my daily skincare routine anyway.
Will I Keep Buying It?
Absolutely.
In fact…
I’m almost out, and I’m getting ready to order another bottle.
When someone recently asked me what I’ve been using on my face…
This is what I was telling you about.
Not because I think it’s a miracle.
Not because I think it’s “filler in a bottle.”
But because I genuinely like the subtle improvement I see in my own skin.
Sometimes skincare doesn’t have to completely transform your face.
Sometimes it just needs to make you feel a little more confident when you look in the mirror.
For me, Volufiline has done exactly that.
